Preparations are in top gear for the rescheduled
gubernatorial election in Bayelsa state as the the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) is set to commence deploying sensitive
materials in the state.

The materials will be taken to Southern Ijaw Local Government, the
disputed area in the Bayelsa polls even as INEC says it had put the
inter-agency committee on election security on alert in view of the
contentious nature of the election.
